overview

Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) affects approximately 1 in 2,000 infants making it one of the most common congenital cardiac defects in neonates. Diagnosis of the condition is often complicated and challenging. It is also evident that a diversity of opinion and practice patterns exist around the diagnosis and treatment of PDA. There is no clear-cut, evidence-based approach to patient care. The varied practice patterns of clinicians caring for infants with PDAs highlight the issues and questions that establish the need for further continuing education.

This on-demand webcast will provide an educational opportunity to learn about early diagnosis, identification, and the medical management of PDA. Clinical considerations, scientific evidence and practical experience will be included on this "hot topic" in neonatology. There is no charge for this activity.

The convenient webcast format of this program provides an opportunity for neonatal nurses involved in the care of preterm infants to update their knowledge and learn about promising new alternatives to treating PDA, based on their individual needs and schedules.

Join us for this free on-demand webcast specifically designed for nurses and nurse practitioners who work with neonatal patients.
